The number of people in IDP camps is growing quickly. We have received reports that tension is developing within the camps between Tumbili and Bandari factions, largely due to a food shortage. At this time, we believe that violence in the camps is minimal, but there seems to be distrust of military and non-military organizations. NGOs in the field are having a difficult time assuaging civil unrest. Food and water are high demand; any NGO able to send supplies, please contact a representative from our team at maha.mian@tufts.edu to coordinate distribution.
